SUCCESS STORY FOR
Alchemy Juice Cafe
Alchemy Juice Café provides a one-of-a-kind, healthy food option in the heart of downtown Nashville. Founded by Tara Mitchner in June 2020 amidst the challenges of the pandemic, this family-owned establishment has not only endured but flourished.
Guided by the mission of providing delicious and wholesome food to everyone, regardless of their dietary preferences, Alchemy Juice Café offers a menu that caters to all tastes while prioritizing healthy eating. From fresh salads bursting with flavor to nutritious smoothies and freshly squeezed juices, every item is crafted to boost energy and nourishment. Committed to using only the finest ingredients, sourced locally and organically whenever possible, Tara ensures that customers enjoy quality nutrition with every bite.
Tara’s journey with the Tennessee Small Business Development Center (TSBDC) at Tennessee State University began in 2018 when she first envisioned opening a Juice and Smoothie Bar. Recognizing the need for a solid foundation, Tara sought assistance from TSBDC consultants to develop a robust business plan. With their guidance, she navigated the complexities of regulatory requirements, secured funding, and mapped out a clear path from concept to operation. Throughout the process, the TSBDC provided invaluable support in creating financial projections, obtaining suitable space for the café, and crafting effective marketing strategies.
Despite the initial challenges, Tara’s perseverance and dedication have propelled Alchemy Juice Café to success. As the café continues to thrive, Tara remains grateful for the ongoing guidance and support from TSBDC.
As Alchemy Juice Café continues to grow, Tara’s vision for the future includes possibilities for further growth and expansion. She looks forward to seeking continued assistance and guidance from TSBDC as she navigates the journey ahead.
For Tara, the journey with TSBDC has been invaluable. “I am thankful for the support and guidance provided by the Center in Nashville,” she reflects.”
