Hello and welcome, this is the official page of the Memphis, TN TSBDC office hosted by Southwest TN Community College. Long known as the birthplace of blues, soul, rock & roll, and barbeque, Memphis also knows business. Benefitting from its’ prime location on the Mississippi River, Memphis has become a logistics hub, home to 3 Fortune 500 international companies, the world-renowned St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, and the second-largest concentration of medical device manufacturers in the country. The movement of goods, ideas, and people has created a strong entrepreneurial mindset. The Memphis TSBDC office knows how to assist business owners and entrepreneurs from start-up to growth to maturity. Over the previous 2 years, our counselors have assisted over 1,500 businesses generate over $27,000,000 in new capital investment, created 295 new jobs, retained nearly 840 positions, and fostered 65 new business starts. These numbers do not even address the 861 businesses assisted in accessing over $15,350,000 in State, local, and Federal financial assistance to help alleviate some of the impact of COVID-19. From one-on-one meetings to group webinars the Memphis TSBDC can assist you with business plan development, financial planning assistance, marketing plan development, sources of capital, social media guidance, business growth planning, government contracting and international trade. Whether you: have an idea that needs to be evaluated, are a startup in need of assistance, are looking to expand, or need a succession plan, the Memphis office of the TSBDC should be your first call.
